that feeling when you fix something

DIY is very satisfying too, even the simple stuff.

I felt like a god when I replaced upstairs door frames, plasterboarded the gap above it and hung new doors.

I stripped down our lasses netbook, it was awful and cramped, and put it all back together again.

It didn't fic it, I needed a new power pack for that, but it proved that I'd put it back together again correctly :p

No screws left over either!

That! is what makes fixing things worth while, nothing like taking apart a laser printer right down, then over a few days putting it back together and being left with nothing but the printer, no screws, no gears... NOTHING...

It's pure bliss.

I wired a plug on Tuesday.

For someone who's been through the modern education system that is quite an achievement! I felt proud .

You did it wrong then, the rules clearly state that exactly one screw must be left over after every reassembly of any item where the original number of screws is greater than 1.
This! First rule of optimisation. Heck in a car it's weight saving!

I fixed a friends laptop once and I didn't have enough screws? I definitely didn't lose any which means it was the screw gremlins.

Put a graphics card in the oven and fixed it

Sadly apart from silly little things I've never really fixed anything worth talking about. My brother on the other hand has crazy awesome soldering skills. He's fixed so many things for me, as well as modding bits. I bought a stereo bluetooth headset, got a small case and he turned them into a wireless music receiver for an amp :p
