***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Same here, got that yesterday!
Watch it pop up in the online -_-
Thanks ps3udo.
Is your secret Atrixo? ;):D
Finally bit the bullet and got the FGT - wowsers :o

In other news i have modified my G25 pedals with a bit of rubber stuff that goes into the spring and it makes an amazing difference and gives way more pedal feel and progressive braking - really feels like a car brake pedal now. If you have a G25 or G27 i would highly recommend it for £8! http://www.nixim.com...rod&productId=3
Links broken :(

B Spec is getting right on my nipple ends! I'm giving my driver some of the best cars out there and he can't even do some of the Beginner races! Seems like he's super shy of overtaking and spins out at nearly every corner ffs. Honestly, can't believe this is GT5, feels like such a horrid game with this B Spec thing tacked on.

On another note, would anyone lend me either a super fast Lambo or Ferrari please? Need to do some Championships and some brand-specific races.

. Although I'll have to save up again as I've just blown all my monies on an FGT .

The SuperGT championship in A-Spec wins you a Calsonic Skyline (R32) and in B-Spec a Woodone Tom's Supra. Both can have a mahoosive turbo whacked on which should make them win that easy and I'm fairly certain they're both enterable in that race. I'll give it a shot in my Calsonic later and tell you if that can do it. I did the SuperGT in an Impreza rally car '03 with mods which will also blitz the special event rallies if you haven't done them yet. But I think I used the Furai for B-Spec
edit: The calsonic is not allowed for some reason() but any Tom's Supra is.

ok I just did the JGTC seasonal in a Castrol Mugen NSX, racing softs, fully lowered and stiffened, max downforce, transmission top speed down one click, rigigigity improvement and nowt else. Forgot to check what tires the others were on, also forgot to change the oil so I did the race with 481hp/41kgfm, after oil change it's 501/43. It was easy anyway. Most JGTC cars will set you back 7-800k and due to the strict regulations in JGTC they're all fairly well matched, although the Castrol Mugen was a championship winner.
edit: there's a takata dome NSX in the online dealership for 727,687 +36 for tires and 20 for ridgitidity, that oughta do it.

Im compelled to ask this question as Im sadly interested. I know a fair few people are collecting cars outside of just having to do events with them (or obvious super/hypercars) and Im wondering what they are buying and the reasons behind it...

For me Im trying to pick up every example of the Skyline GT-R (As in the VSpec, VSpecII of each engine type etc). The Skylines have just been the car of choice for me for every GT Ive played and its nice to play the game and kinda go down memory lane. Im also gonna do it for the Nissan Fairlady/Z series too...

Im also collecting any Jap tuner cars (Nismo, Amuse, Mines, Spoone - those kinds of things) - to me they are the coolest things ever. You can see why I like GT5 ;)

You cant give them too good a car early on or they do that - I did the same!

I love B-spec now but the early bits are frustrating until you give them more suitable cars!

if you're on anyway mate I will do a bit in a bit but not much. What are the regs again? <320hp and >1100kg?

I like collecting all the odd, old cars that feature, the sort that you'll probably never actually use, but just need to own. I've got just over 200 cars now, most cost under £100k, and I can't stop buying them! My rarest car was my Panda, only ever seen it once in the dealership since release day:eek: Cost about £8k if I remember:p
