Hey, I already purchased the MSI GTX 460 Hawk this was about 2 month ago. In terms of overclocking its a decent card, altho i did have a few problems with it when i got it. Im going to upgrade again soon either to SLI or a GTX 500 seriese card. However id like some suggestions and throughts about going to SLI or getting one 500? Or should i wait to see what nVidia has round the corner.

Thanks

Very nice links, thanks a lot it seems that the SLI option is a good idea, thoes benchmarks are on stock clock speeds so i might be able to push alittle more out if i can get 2x GTX460s stable,

and im currently running 1920*1080 so that sounds good to me

Other Question will i need a 1000W PSU for this SLI?

thanks for the replay, well ill test it on my 750W saves me some money, gonna by a Noctua DH14 from my CPU if i dont need the extra power

You should have plenty of power. SLi 460s are a solid option, especially overclocked. Should keep you going until the next gen.

yeah going with SLI, seems like the best choice, thanks for your thoughts. will get some pics of my system when im about done with it.

Hey, well i got SLI as suggested. havnt really had time to play around with it yet. However here are some pics as promised.

Only had a phone camera so bare with it.

i7_860, what make is your PSU? I'm running sli on a corsair TX850W as long as it's a quality PSU you'll be fine the recommended is something like 600W for sli 460's

Nice setup what do the 5850 run like as there on offer ATM I might be tempted
:D

Thoes are GTX460s, single GPU was running at 69degrees with 930core/2000memory
(Load Temps)
In SLI im running them at 850/2000, 72degrees for the top card, stock voltages.
(Load Temps)
Apparently the ATI cards run cooler, and overclock a little bit better in most OCing i saw ppl using stock memory core and just pushing the coreclock to the stable max
