Chonicles of Riddick on Steam - £3.75

Played Butcher's Bay on release and though it has its problems its still a blast. The intro is particularly nice and the first person melee stuff is really brutal and satisfying. Not sure about the expansion but its worth it for BB alone.

Great deal. Played Butcher Bay on release and thought it was excellent, graphically at the time it was well up there. Hand to hand combat was particuarly good, also some nice stealth sections,it will be a blast to play through it again.

£3.75 for two full games, one of which I can vouch for,Assault on Dark Athena received average to good reviews so should be worth a look. Gotta love Steam at times.

played the demo before and enjoyed it so it is part of my ever expanding library :o

bargainnnn!

Played BB on pc through to the end and thoroughly enjoyed it. Started playing AoDA but got sidetracked with other games. I do intend to start AoDA again once i've finished Metro2033.

Already got it from a previous sale. It's a fantastic price for two games. I have completed them both and they're both superb - the remake was an excellent idea to revamp a brilliant FPS game that nobody had really played.

I have to agree with other people in this post - Butchers Bay is one of the best FPSs of all time.

loved the first game but this DRM is ******* me off, do they not like sales ?
i wouldn't normally get a game with DRM as bad as this but they did promise to remove the DRM and replace it with an unprotected .exe . so i will trust them this once because i loved the first game.

Yep. I loved the first game too. I've always wanted to buy the new version but held off because of the DRM. It's yet another game I would have bought at launch for full price without limited activations, but I won't even buy it at discount with such a ludicrous DRM scheme, especially when Steam is good enough to stop casual piracy. Besides which the game's been out over a year, and is way past it's piracy phase. What good is DRM now? It just hurts legit customers.

*EDIT*

steam said:
Notice: After activating the third time your product using TAGES a 30-day timer starts. After 30 days you will get that activation back up to 3 total activations.

so it seems after 30 days you get all 3 of your activations back....or thats how im reading it.

Seems fair enough. If you back up your Steam folder somewhere safe you won't need to use any additional activations? Or have I got that wrong?

Anyway, sorely tempted but I am going to have to draw a line in the sand and say **** you Valve! Too many games, not enough time!

I read it as one activation returned every 30 days, so if you install on 3 computers in a month, it will take 90 days for all three of those activations to be returned.

Does this game have proper functionality with the 360 pad (i.e. changes on-screen button graphics)?

EDIT: Not in Butcher Bay, not sure about Dark Athena.
