Not surprised that the NV cards choked at that res in F1. I game at 2560x1600 and it maxes the memory on my 480's at that res.

I like F1 2010 but it's hunger for video ram is in no way proportional to it's graphics. There are MUCH prettier and more graphically intensive games which require much less VRAM. Even at 1920x1200 it hogs over 1GB of RAM on my 580's.

But @ 5760x1200 it is a very valid argument for the 6900's 2GB frame buffe, that is for the <1% of people who game at such high res.
