Looking for some good adventure games to play with a controller.
Will get Batman AA, but was thinking about games like old rayman and such....

What do you play ?

I think there must be a bit of confusion here concerning the term 'adventure game'.
Do you mean action adventure? I don't think a controller would give you much joy with Monkey Island or Still Life, for instance? Could you give an example or two of what games you mean?

You can pick up Tomb Raider Anniversary dirt cheap. It's a good port and works great with a 360 pad. If you loved the original in 96, or even if you didn't, it's a great game

TR: Legend is ok and is equally cheap.

Otherwise get the Project 64 emulator and play Mario 64 :) Also works great with a 360 pad, and the game is still amazingly good, IMO

Psychonauts
Beyond good and evil

Both very original and very good games.

Edit: scrapland is a pretty decent little game too if you can find it cheap.

IMO:

Adventure = point and click story driven, e.g monkey island.
Action adventure = Third person, action platformer/shooter.

:)

I think the OP is after action adventure games.

thats the ones :) action adventure :) but mostly platformer ones

Also since you mentioned old Rayman then how about the Abe games? Oddysee and Exoddus.

forgot about Abe :)

These two. Both amazing games. Psychonauts is also found very easily on steam. If you havent played it already, buy it! :D

never heard of Psychonauts so will go and have a look :)

cheers

I had bother getting Psychonauts working with the controller.

Also, Beyond Good and Evil had terrible tearing issues.

Great games though.

Beyond Good & Evil is fantastic - strongly recommended. As mentioned I find it does have some stability & graphical issues on the PC, but it's a great game if you can deal with that. If not, buy it for a console instead - a must-play.

I haven't tried Darksiders yet, which I picked up in the Steam sale recently, but it seems to be in a similar vein to Devil May Cry so I'm looking forward to giving it a punt - that series went bad fast.
