Low impact cardiac excercises?

Firstly: Why do you need low impact?
The answer to this will help people give you better options.

As a general though:
cycling
xtrainer
swimming

those would be the first 3 on my mind.

This would be better moved to the sport section

But
swimming
cross trainer
bike machine

All this is dependant on how you do the exercise. If you go for it low impact exercise can still do damage. I have a bad knee and 40mins on the cross trainer I start to feel pain.

Exercise bike would be my first choice. The real ones have some 'impact' issues, when you crash 'em. :D

Cross trainers destroy me after the first ten minutes and it's never felt natural using them. But still I do.

For real low impact, I suppose a 'quick' stroll wouldn't do too much harm.

As others have said, X-Trainer, Swimming, Cycling and Walking. Also, if your gym has them, cardio wave would be a good option also.

Cycling is low impact yes, if you take it easy and stick to easy routes with no hills to climb that is!

It's low impact as long as you don't stamp on the pedals every turn ;) Low impact doesn't have to mean easy exercise, cycling can be very high intensity but remain low impact.

This is why we need to know why the OP can't do "impact" training. If it is because the OP is heavy, like me, and doesn't want to destroy their knees, ankles and hips by going for a run, they could still do boxing. If it's because of something such as osteoporosis then swimming is about the only option :p
