Greetings folks.

I am ordering a new system and i am not sure about what psu will be better,
I am looking at the following 2 :

Corsair TX 950W ATX SLI Compliant Power Supply

Adata HM 1200W Modular Power Supply

Now i and moving more toward to adata unit as its more watts,
How ever corsair is a well known make and also thinking about that,

I will be getting the following rig :

XFX ATI Radeon 6970 2048MB
MSI P67A-GD65 Intel P67
Intel Core i5-2500K
G.Skill RipJawX 4GB
Corsair Hydro H70

Now at this point i am only going to get 1 graphics card but will order another one 2 weeks after i get the main syste,
There isaso going to be 4 - 5 3.5" sata drives a ssd drive and dvd so on,

So do you think i will need the 1200W unit or will the 950W will be ok

Ps : On another note the ram i am after is 2133MHz will that run ok on the MSI P67A mobo ?

Regards
Steven

I have never heard of Adata...

Go buy yourself a Corsair HX850 or something. Modular PSU, and they are amazing! I have the HX1000, and the build quality is amazing!

Thanks folks,

Not fussed about Modular units due to cable management,
What sort of watts would i be looking at for the 2 graphics cards ?
Its just with the info saying : - 500W minimum PSU recommended.

Nothing much to add, rams ok, cooler fits, PSU is overkill but what the hell!! it will last forever.

Does anyone actually need a 1k-1.2k PSU? Can't think how you'd use that much power short of 3-4 dual chip graphics cards folding constantly?

In that case the XFX Pro 750W Core Edition, 80Plus Bronze is just as good as the Antec Truepower New TP-750, and it's only £72.

The true markings of a corsair fanboy
I can't believe no one has advised hime to get a 6950 and then flash it into a 6970.

Was thinking of this my self,
But i am not keen on flashing any thing other than my phone lol,
But if i am able to get a 6950 to run like a 70 what can i get that to run like ?
Not that fussed for over clocking ( also dont think i will need to )

As my old pc psu went bang a few days ago i am busting to get the new rig up and running and just want to say a big thanks for all the help folks.

I have a Corsair TX750w.

Never missed a beat, and handled numerous power surges over the past few years with no problem so I can recommend.

Though if money was no issue, I would have to buy an Enermax.
