* Stage Video offers new capabilities to developers that will help web sites deliver smooth, beautiful video across devices and browsers by enabling hardware acceleration of the entire pipeline. This helps improve performance on more mobile devices, while also ensuring compatibility across a range of devices with different processing capabilities.
* 35% improvement in Flash Player graphics performance with Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 beta to deliver a faster and more responsive user experience. In fact, we also have a very close alliance with Microsoft to help enable a better Internet experience.
* Multiple monitor support allows users to watch videos in true full screen on one display while multi-tasking on another. Of course, AMD is a big believer in the end user benefits made possible by multi-displays; hence, AMD RadeonTM HD graphics and FireProTM professional graphics support from 2 to 6 simultaneous displays with a single card, depending on the model, using AMD Eyefinity technology which is unique to AMD.

AMD and Adobe are excited about how the latest Adobe Flash Player 10.2 beta and our AMD Fusion APU technology can work together to make video beautiful. For more information on Stage Video and the latest Adobe demos, see: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashPlayer10/stagevideo.html

Watch videos in true full screen on one display while multi-tasking on another as long as that other is not a game that needs full 3D clocks.

Doesn't it ramp up to 3d clocks? Should be a simple driver fix surely.

Not really, anything that uses the UVD forces the clocks to stay on 2D clocks, regardless of what else you're doing. If it was using GPU acceleration via another method then this problem can be avoided. Of course, you can always turn off hardware acceleration.

I've been waiting for this update for ages! Finally can fullscreen a full video while doing some work!!!:D

Watching videos on the PC while gaming is not really something that i do but there is the odd person who does.

Either not enough people have written in to AMD about it or it cant be fixed or that they simply don't think that most people will find it a problem.

I have not seen a statement from AMD about it so i feel that not enough people have written in.

Maybe if you are stuck on a level and need a walkthrough?

You've been able to keep flash fullscreen on one monitor while doing whatever on the other(s) for about a year now. So what exactly does 10.2 do?

Moves everything onto the gpu, 10.1 left bits and pieces on the cpu so essentially it's tidying up. There's other various tweaks, adobe has a full list somewhere, but in simple terms it should improve videos on slow machines (e.g. laptops/net-books).

Right now I've got a game running with flash on top but it's sticking to 3d clocks at last. Sadly, while what we've all been asking for, it doesn't actually fix the issue of amds drivers defaulting to the lower clocks (but that point is rendered mute).

It seems to be for those using a "SLS" config (eyefinity display grouping), where you can't full screen a video on one monitor while doing something else, something I'd find quite useful as I like to watch things on my PC while doing work and various other things.
