Hi,

I have my i5 overclocked to 4ghz @1.3v and it's very stable for the last 2months now, i had prime run for 24
hours and it was all good:).I just loaded up CPUID and it was showing my voltage is 1.304v, that is what i set
it in the bios to be, well i just ran prime for 5mins to see how my temps was doing and they was fine but i had
notice my voltage was showing at 1.232v @ fully loaded as soon as i stop prime my voltage went back to 1.304v.
What is going on becasue i don't get it..

my spec is in my sig, my psu is antec true power 650.

Not the most in-depth answer there...

Voltage droop or "vdroop" as it's known is where the core voltage drops when the cpu is under heavy load

This is why we stress test an overclock, it may be perfectly stable while idling, but when you load it up with something cpu intensive (something crazy like notepad lol) and the voltage drops a little then it might not be enough to keep it stable and the system will hang...

as long as it's stable, don't worry about it :) it's perfectly normal

LLC is an option in the bios that holds Vcore at a average point so to speak; instead of setting a voltage normally, where you set a maximum voltage (that can drop), LLC stops it drooping as much, and in some cases not at all.

it compensates for the droop in voltage to maintain a steady voltage which means when the cpu is put under load, it's less likely to BSoD due to lack of supple voltage.
