Games you are looking forward in 2011

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad - because its the sequel to the best Second World War FPS. Some gritty, realistic eastern front combined arms action is what I'm looking forward to this year.

First I'd ever heard of this game.

Just watched this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkk3SiywLHI

Some of the things this guys says are so true.

I does look like a fps made by gamers for gamers....

Untill i play it, I should criticize, but it the graphics could maybe be a bit better, but thats what you get when your used to BFBC2 + Vietnam.

Any way looks interesting, will keep an eye out for it.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Will wait to see if it can live up to it's predecessors
The Witcher 2 - Loved the first
Brink - Looks pretty interesting from the trailers
Portal 2 - Self explanatory
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine - Loved the Dawn of War games, a space marine RPG will be awesome
Elder Scrolls V - One of my favourite series of games
Mass Effect 3 - 1 and 2 are quite possibly my favourite games of all time

Ding ding ding. Plus:

Starcraft 2 Zerg campaign.
Bioshock Infinite.

Diablo 3
Skyrim
Dungeon Siege 3
Crysis 2
Mass Effect 3
The Witcher 2
Portal 2
Dragon Age 2

There are a few others, but can't remember them. Not sure if some of the above are even coming in 2011.

Wow that interviewer is an utter prat, but the game looks amazing

Anyone know if the first Red Orchestra is still popular? worth buying now?

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad.

Same only game I'm really looking forward to which is a certain pre order.

Portal 2 & Deus Ex 3 should be good as well but I probably won't be in any super rush to get them. Will be playing world of tanks when it comes out of beta but that doesn't really count.

I was thinking BF3 wouldn't be out this year, has there been any official announcement saying otherwise?

Still popular enough to always get a game on an EU server, always a few full (48-64 players) between RO and the Darkest Hour (western front mod), but its not in its prime compared to a few years back.

As awesome as the game is, its at the point where I'm not sure I'd recommend people to get it right now, RO2 will be less rough and easier to pick up for new players (also there will be loads of new players compared to right now), should have a great community backing it and hopfully will be a better game, so I don't want to scare away people who will love it by saying they should play RO1 and then having them put off by getting their ass kicked old vets and grumble over its learning curve etc. But if you like the look of it from videos and aren't afraid of a challenge and having to sink a few hours into it before you adjust to it, it is super cheap so I'd definitely pick it up.

Total War: Shogun 2
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm
Mass Effect 3
Dragon Age 2
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
Diablo 3
Gears of War 3

And I will probably buy a bunch more.

Bonus marks to Sweey for posting quite a few games that AREN'T sequels :)

Personally I don't really follow new IP so I'd say the new Deus Ex, Diablo and TDU games.

Also I'd just like to offer up a prediction right now that the new Deus Ex game will be many people's most disappointing release of the year. Not saying I'm expecting it to be a bad game, just I think people will have extremely high expectations and thus (as with the Invisible War) be disappointed even if (judged on merit) the game is reasonable.

Diablo 3 (one can hope!)
Portal 2
Bulletstorm
Shift 2
Firefall
Dead Space 2
Rage
Gears of War 3
Forza 4
Crysis 2
