I really wanted one of these cause if prefer their bios style the most since I find it easier to use than the msi one but I heard that they were really dodgy and people were having lots of problems with it. Can anyone tell me some of the reasons why and if it was just unlucky or a bad batch.

Personally I've not had any issues with mine, I went for the deluxe model, and its worked straight out of the box. I just made sure I put the settings on manual that I did not want it to change, and have not had a single problem.

Nice so what do you think cause the problems for the other people except for unlucky because some people fiddled with the bios or something similar and then the mobos stopped working. Is there anything that should be avoided when using these.

it's a new chip & socket combi, there will inevitabley be issues for the early adopter guinea pigs, happens every time. & with the best will in the world no mobo manufacturer can test every possible hardware configuration, so teething problems are bound to occur.

What settings did you put on manual and where did you put these settings (bios or something else)

I had problems with mine, cold boot issues. If the ram was set over 1333Mhz it wouldn't boot from a power down, I solved this by resetting the cmos via battery and jumper and now it's fine. So with a little patience I would imagine it'll suit your needs. The interface is pretty slick.

bought a corsair HX 750 from a competitor and it didn't come with any PCI-E 6/8 pin cables so can't power my graphics card heh this whole thing with the asus boards is worrying me as i seem to be really unlucky when it comes to building computers
