As has been said it should happen with minutes/half an hour, if it doesn't turn the box off for 30 seconds at the wall then turn it back on so it fully resets and if there isn't a problem with the system (or the operator hasn't made a mistake) it should get the new config type file when it's authorised during reboot.
Generally it can take only 5 mins to refresh the box, and its just a case of sending a hit (signal) to your box to refresh. If you have any issues you could try rebooting and that usually prompts the box to reset itself allowing the new channels to be transmitted. At most it should take 24 hours (that's what the staff should be advising) but if it ever takes longer than that i would get back on the phone as it probably means it hasn't been set up properly.
