The Current Government

The socialists lazy people that love the welfare state are moaning about tax avoidance... no surprise there.

"tax the wealthy so that i can sit at home and drink stella and have 5 too many children and get everything for free."

I think it would be un-fair to speculate personally.

I don't like the changes, but Labour would have had to do something very similar, the only difference is they very wittingly held back any changes and now it looks like it's all the Conservative's fault.

It was always going to be the Conservative's "fault" unfortunatly because of the free spending tarts of the last Labour government, whoever came in to tidy up the outright mess that they left this country in was going to look bad because of the measures required to sort the country out.

I dont want us to be the next Greece or Ireland, and unfortunatly Labour has encouraged the idea, take take take whilst holding absoultly no responsibility for the possible consequences of your actions.

The banks should not of offered credit to people that they knew couldnt repay them but the people taking out the loans are also adults, they should be able to think for themselves that there was no way that they could ever pay the loans/credit cards back without incuring unpayable interest. We now live in a blame culture, and it could never be the idiot's fault that took out the loan could it....

I'm pleased with the current government, but not that it'll matter. People en mass, are fickle, 4 years down the line, cuts will have been made, debts will have be reduced, albeit a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things, still labour will wade in with their vote winning ploys, "we'll lower VAT back to 15%" "we'll cap uni fee's slightly lower" "we'll raise your benefits" etc. etc. they'll win, take power, go one their ever popular "spend, spend, spend" period, increase the debt, have the underclass eating out of their hands, stack the debt up again, then a further 4 years down the line the tories will come along and say "they've ruined it again, look at these debts" etc. etc. and then the world continues to turn.

Can i just ask - why are supporters of the tories against benefit fraud, but not against tax avoidance? It all amounts to the same thing, people using our money for unjust things. You're prepared to potentially make people suffer to get some of it back, but when it comes to the serious amounts that could make a difference and will still leave the people in question with far too much money anyway you think that's okay?

Because benefit fraud is illegal and tax avoidance isn't.

Can I ask why you continue to confuse tax avoidance and tax evasion and treat them the same? It's been explained to you several times, so it can't be ignorance any more...

You couldn't get any worse than Blair/Brown Labour, so yes, I like the Conservatives and their Liberal tea boys.

Are you mixing up avoidance and evasion by any chance? Avoidance is absolute common sense, evasion & benefit fraud is completely illegal.

There are however numerous levels of tax avoidance - it's the ones that sail close to the wind that tend to annoy people. Things like diminishing currency loans and the like.

Common avoidance - ISAs, company bike purchase schemes, etc.... Well you'd be a bit of financial idiot not to take advantage of them. They're avoidance techniques.

kinda indifferent.

i welcomed Labour at the start, but towards the end ide gotten thoroughly sick to death of there self serving arrogance & stupidity.
