***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Anyone online who can loan me a Citroen C4 WRC 08, for the Bonus race 3 seasonal event? It costs 850k, which I don't fancy spending for a one off race :)

If someone wants the c4 rally car and is too cheap to buy it, add me psn:Hairy_Bob
I will gift it to you, if it looks like I am online and just ignoring you, its probably because I am grinding on B spec, and if someone gets added but does not receive a car, its because I have already gifted one car in that 24 period.

Are you online now, and have you already gifted a car today, or can you gift it now?

Done. Nah I am fine with cars, cheers for the offer. Keep it, I don't need it back
Unless you have a Nissan Micra (March) from the mid 90s, been looking for one not found it yet.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times but what is the best car for the historic cup? Managed to do the first race in B-spec with the Toyota 7 but he cant seem to keep up in the second race.

Toyota 7 with mods should do both events, but I had to do it a couple of times as my driver (Level 18) only managed to pass the leading Chapparel on the second to last lap on the climb up the hill after the pit straight (assuming you're struggling with Monaco?). I didn't change car setup apart from transmission just to make sure it didn't hit the limiter going up said hill.

It's probably the only B-Spec race I ever had to actually watch carefully.

The last NASCAR race is really infuriating me, I bought a Toyota NASCAR, managed the first races fine, found grand valley easy, but the last one I can't do it, all the other cars seem faster than me, 5 of them broke off into a group and just left me standing. Also the others keep taking me out and spinning me off.

Got a few different events now that I'm just finding impossible so trying to get my bspec guys up but it's a long boring process, currently at level 17.

@Mark A
I used the Toyota 7, changed the gearing to 180 or 185 mph and turned up the down force, did it, but first couple of times Bob just decided to ram the chicane after the tunnel, it is possible.
@Nick1881
I just turn on my ps3 and set it off for a race when I know I will be doing something for an hour or so. Just wait till you hit the endurance events, I am doing 9 hour races at level 34 and when I get to level 35 I have 24 hour races to play with, it just a waste of electricity, if it was at least running folding at the same time it would not seem so bad.

Thanks I'll try your suggestions.

I think I chose the wrong type of driver, he's too laid back and just tends to chill out at the back :/. Currently trying to train up a replacement, but I'll let my other driver have another go.

My driver doesn't hit the barrier but the guy in front of him always does and then all the other cars pass the collision but my driver sits there to let the guy go. Grrr.

Love how just keep adding new features, I think this game'll last me yonks!:

Interesting use of B-Spec drivers, Dave will win supreme of course!
