NOT A MEDICAL THREAD, I repeat, THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL THREAD :p

Well, went for a shower yesterday morning and got a sharp strange feeling in my left ear and it nearly knocked me to the floor. I thought that some water was probably just trapped. I woke during the night and there was some liquid in my left ear. Looks like I've perforated my ear as there is discharge coming from it now. I experienced this in the same ear a few years back and had to get an operation to mend the eardrum.

I'm not able to go to the doctors tomorrow or Tuesday as I'm at work but I'm going to see if I can get an appointment for Wednesday and my question was.... Does anyone know of any ways to reduce the pain?

Bummer.

I know the pain is bad. Just come off 10 days of antibiotics for an ear infections. Such a horrible feeling of pain. My ear was weeping for a week, then had yellow / pink gunk coming out of it.

I just took some very strong painkillers, Co-Dydramol. You kind of need to break a leg or something to obtain them though........

this is not a medical thread but please give me medical advice

anyways all I can suggest is visiting your local hospital or emergency clinic if the pain is too severe

I don't know what you have in Ulster, but here we can phone a number and speak to someone who can tell us what to do. There's also a website to go to where you pick your symptoms and it tells you if should phone the number or go to a hospital.

Assuming you have that in Ulster, I'd do it now.
