Hi would like to replace my current Winpower 500 watt PSU with something as quiet and energy efficient (save electricity:)) as possible. I feel scared to leave it on overnight as it gets very warm.

I am currently using the PSU to power a quad core (q9400) with 1 hard drive and 2 dvd drives but plan to install a additional hard drive in future along with possibly a gtx 460.

Not looking to spend to much under £50 would be good. Any recommendations would be great.

P.S The I need the PSU to cope with me leaving it on for long periods of time (e.g a week)

One of these

OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w Silent SLI Certified Modular Power Supply £53.10
Just over but I included i incase you want modular

Corsair Builder Series CX 500W ATX Power Supply (CMPSU-500CXUK) £47.99
Cant go wrong with Corsair really

BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W Power Supply £46.99
This would prob be my choice if youre not bothered about modular

OCZ StealthXStream 2 500W Power Supply £44.99
Nice and cheap

Thanks for the suggestions narrowed it down to one of the two PSU's below

Corsair Builder Series CX 500W ATX Power Supply or BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W

Which one would be better to go for? I see both of you recommend the BeQuiet over the corsair any reasons why?

The new range of Corsair PSU units seem to be off lower quality than the units they replaced.
