Late at night and was just thinking, android is missing a media service,. Apple has itunes and w7p has zune. A lot of legal film downloads has drm which i assune will only work on wmp, so now with honeycomb just 2months away will android be limited to streaming and/or creating your own avi films. Or has google got something in the pipework?

I don't doubt it, I dare say they have "something in the pipework" for everything imaginable... just depends whether we'll see it or not.

I meant you can't use services like blinkbox due to drm, not that google would use drm. No official support for itunes.

When android was just phoned the market for videos was low, now with tablets they are missing film and tv downloads.

Well Samsung for example have a fairly large movie store already and all of that woks both on WMP and the GalaxyTab(and other android phones). So surely they'll just rely on apps + various 3rd party stores.

Similar to the ebooks market.

Possibly, is there any though? Can you get the galaxy one on any android? Problem i see it is an emerging markets and also high restrictions from film companies, so needs giant players to impement.

Only Samsung phones at the moment. But I'm sure WBs and others can see potential in creating apps and stores for this market as it matures. Simply a matter of time I think.
