Good but free undelete software

Freind has just deleted his entire phd folder on his computer! :eek:

Anyone know of any reliable but free software I can use to retreive it?

I've had success with Recuva. Another I have used, but didn't work in my case was Undelete Plus.

Another vote for Recuva.

I use this on an almost daily basis recovering files off staff laptops and pen-drives and it rarely lets me down

And another vote here. Of the various apps I used, Recuva was the only GUI based one that actually managed to recover a large batch of photos from a formatted and re-partitioned drive.
