Has anybody got these two in combination? I've found some owner comments that state problems with variations of this mobo working with a pci x-fi, not even seeing it sometimes. This appears to extend to many pci devices.

Any owners care to comment? I'm concerned I may have to replace mine with a pci-e version to guarantee it will work :P

I have the extreme gamer and it worked no problem on my pro board. Just downloaded the latest drives from creative and worked fine. No problems at all.

In my case there is an issue with my board (The ASRock P67 Extreme4) and Windows Update. For some reason it thinks one of the PCI bridges is a "Accusys Storage" device and installs some weird driver on it, knocking out PCI support, and more annoyingly, the onboard LAN. I wonder if the issues extends beyond just my board and may be a hardware ID mismatch?

I have an X-Fi XtremeGamer and will be testing it against the onboard sound as the latter supports THX TruStudio, but it doesn't have any detection issues past the aforementioned issue, now resolved.

I had the same issue on my P8P67 Deluxe, i have fixed the issue, right click the Accusys Storage disable and ticked remove drivers, then scan for new hardware, this installed all the PCI devices, put my sound card in, works ok, but i am sure this card use to sound better on my old set up :S

*sigh* this is another doubt about sandybridge planted in my mind now as i have a PCI Elite Pro that i use for home music recording. Having this not working would be a disaster.

I have this exact problem, although I have a P8p67 Pro and a Xfi Fatal1ty.

I have looked through the device manager and I cant find the "Accusys Storage". Please help!

I can confirm that my Elite Pro works great on my standard P8P67

I know it works on most peoples, as I have googled it to doom. However, it just seems to be hit and miss whether it does.

Despite searching the net there does not seem to be a cure. Other than the one mentioned above, and taking out the soundcard and putting it back in again. Of which I have done and now it has detected and "unknown audio device". Just trying some drivers now.

Update:- That has sorted it.
