Thinking about going away for a city break with my girlfriend early March.
Been to Rome/Paris/Amsterdam and have been thinking about the following:
Venice - mixed reviews, maybe March is too early?
Prague - heard it might be a little chilly, but there is a lot to do
Also considering Berlin/Dubrovnik/Copenhagen/Bruges.

Any comments on the above, or any other recommendations?

I went to Bruges last year in June. It was quite a lovely place, actually. Though 2 days was long enough and it might be a bit more annoying if it was cold.

I've just booked 5 nights in new York for 3 of us including flights for only £400 each. Breakfast and wifi included.

Last minute .com are great.

Edit: march 10-15th

Wow that is excellent, are you sure the hotel isn't a hostel in The Bronx or something for that money?!

Flights alone are £330ish each at the very best?

That is AMAZING actually, my Rome trip for 3 nights cost me £710 for two!

Barcelona is my favourite city break destination...

This, even though I haven't been to many cities in the world, Barcelona is definitely worth a visit. I was looking today at flight prices because I'll be going back in the summer and there's flights for £33 in every month I checked.

Berlin will certainly keep your interest and you will have plenty to see. Dubrovnik can easily be seen in a day and that includes a walk around the city wall. There is nothing much to be seen outside the old town and I would give it miss.

Thanks for the replies. Seems like i'll look into Barcelona, Vienna and Berlin a bit more.
Bruges appears to have colder weather then London, so its one for the summer.
I used to live in NY and a weekend trip isnt feasible.

I was in Prague over Christmas, and it wasn't to bad. A few below zero, it's a different cold to over here - does cut through you a bit more but I wouldn't discount it because of the chilliness.
I've been to Venice in the height of summer and it was rubbish, probably better earlier in the year but I feel March may be that little bit to early.

I'd go with Berlin, lovely city with heaps to do and it's pretty cheap for being a capital city.

I did prague last year, it was good, the underground system is amazing so getting around is easy peesy.

The Astronomical clock = big clock on the wall.....let down (don't believe the hype ;) )

It was freezing cold, I went in April but still a good place to go with your partner
