Tyre company rip off!!

Horses for courses, does a Fiesta 950 or a Mini 850 need £200 tyres per corner?
I was just trying to say as driving style and performance of the vehicle gets more demanding the tyres need to be better to cope with those demands.

Does a Veyron need £1000 tyes a corner.

Pointless point is as pointless as yours.

Tell OP to fit Pirelli P Zero Rossos, as anything else could be a serious risk to his health.

Job done.

No one had an issue with his original choice, he paid for what seemed to be decent tyres and ended up with some no name crap for the same money. Not many people had issue understanding that, except for yourself.

Always nice to see people able and willing to back up their points with sensible arguments :)

It's awesome isn't it, once again I have been well and truly put in my place.

I have mearly exaggerated my point to make it more clear, but I suspect you all had the intelligence to see what I was doing there.

No, you were posting straw man rubbish because you can't actually sensibly defend the comments you made. You haven't tried to respond sensibly.

If the person in question was sold michellin primacy, then they are very expensive tyres.

It sounds like she was charged for the best of the best in terms of price, and given rubbish.

It sounds like a blatent con to me. And not a subtle one at that.

I was mearly trying to suggest that he won't necessarily die or spin off into the nearest ditch as a result, thats why I was trying to ascertain his vehicle and driving style.

The road noise is horrible and I just don't feel safe driving it.

If he doesn't feel safe with them and doesn't like the road noise, what further point can add to tell that the OP is wrong and his lovely budget tyres are perfectly fine. I suspect he won't spin off and burn in a horrible fire when driving back to get them changed. Personally I'm a big fan of risk mitigation, and if I can mitigate the risk of driving fail for the sake of a bit of money then I'm all for it.

I have absolutely no need to test a set of Kormoran Runpro B2s to tell you they'll be utter tripe.

If they were even half way good tyres, they'd be sold as Michelin brand and not Kormoran in the first place.

Well that's that sorted then, are there any other budget purchases you would like to warn us about (without testing) so I don't make the same mistake?

This thread is now on the first results page when you search for "Kormoran Runpro B2 review" on google. lolz. I can't find any reviews for them either, just a few links to Polish/Bulgarian websites.

Wonder what the markup on these Koranomnomnom tyres are ;)

Which has nothing to do with tyres. Firing off tangent posts really isn't diverting us away from the fact you haven't backed anything up at all.

The OP has already tested them and is unhappy with them. What more needs to be said?

Fair point, he also said that he had a "ridiculously small motoring budget" I was mearly trying to point out it might not be as bad as he suspected.

It will be interesting to hear how he gets on if he takes them back to the garage.
