Asrock H67M Intel H67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro-ATX Motherboard - (Sandybridge) - £67.99

Intel Core i5-2400 3.10GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail - £145.99

Costs a tad bit more, but is a good bit faster, better onboard graphics and scope for better cpu later. 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x SATA3 , could be useful too.

For £14.02 more than the AMD soultion, it's offers a lot more.

Honestly.

Besides, there isn't a single HDD and never will be a HDD that can actually make use of the full S-ATA 6GB/s speed.

And if you do find yourself/or he finds himself needing it, you can always buy expansions cards for quite cheap.
