Ideas for an office day out?

Hey chaps,

I'm trying to think of some good ideas for an office day out (team building, alcohol and fun!).

Aside from the obvious go-karting and paintball, etc ... does anyone have any ideas that might be worth looking into?

We had an idea of going to a cocktail bar for a mixology day and lessons which would be pretty good fun!

Anyone been on great office away days?

Ice Skating
Paintballing
Dragon Boating
Bowling
Archery
Wine Tasting
Cooking Class (which was quite fun actually as we got smashed whilst cooking, and pretty wasted before we turned up, using sharp knifes was hilarious)

All sorts about!

The last good one was the London Eye followed by a many drinks on the South Bank.

Paintballing must be awesome with your office co workers! I fear I might not stop shooting some people tho

We used to go down to a hotel and hire some organizers to come and hosts some events for us all, clay pigeon shooting, crossbow, blind driving (in a field in a 4x4), and driving honda Pilots around a dirt track! great fun!

I think I would enjoy a trip out to the races with work....maybe the dogs?

Bowling is usually good fun as you can get mullered while doing it without any health and safety moon maidens getting their panties wet

We went to River Cottage (Hugh Fernley-Whittingstal etc) for a teambuild a year or two ago. It was really good and one of the few examples of a teambuild that worked - i.e we all bonded. You spend the day preparing food (including butchering half a pig) which then gets cooked for you for an evening feast. I even stole Hughs mobile phone number off a list in the kitchen

I second Go Ape. I took our new season theatre company there a couple of years ago as an ice-breaker and it worked really well.

Depends on the type of staff I suppose...

laser-quest? would depend on the sort of people going though, if theyre middle aged women i doubt theyd enjoy that!
i would also feel a bit iffy setting up a .vs theme to it, as you wont allow everyone to mingle.
see if theres any of that ghost hunting business near you or cluedo type things you can book. so youre all workign together to achieve a goal.
