Woolly Mammoth will likely re-walk the earth in 4-5 years.

I thought that the idea of doing things this unnatural was wrong?

It would be good to see, my main concern would be that Japan are looking after it :P

old news :D.

Although I wish they'd try and fix the current population problems we have instead of spending so much money and technology bringing out old species which will be nothing but money making prizes for certain zoos.

You know there's a guy standing with a wheel barrow and a shovel in a yard at some animal DNA research facility scrunching his eyes together and muttering "please fail please fail please fail".

They should release these back into the icy continents, imagine how badly a polar bear would cack itself if it came across a one of these!

We've all seen the movies (and that's how history and the future will actually work) and we all know that inevitably some lowly IT guy will attempt to steal the DNA shutting down the entire infrastructure used to keep the animals in and they will break out and run amok.

They should bring back the DODO first, if it wasn't for man, they would still be running around.

They could repopulate Madagascar.;)

Don't think wolves have been, I think the plan to release them into the wild was rejected ultimately. It was then watered-down to an idea of introducing them within a fenced area of Alladale Estate but that to was rejecting because of welfare concerns.

Lets just say they haven't been officially reintroduced. I have heard several reports of small packs of wolves existing on the Feshie estate. I believe they recently culled a significant portion of them recently though. Who is releasing and managing them I don't know, but the Feshie estate has a problem with the red deer numbers (And recently had to cull them in the thousands!), so it could be linked to that as an experiment into the viability of controlled wolf populations. I certainly would love to see them back for good. :)
