Essentially i'm just brainstorming here, so feel free to ignore/be stupid.
Well after not buying much of any significant value for a few years i've saved up around £300, and now i can't decide what to spend it on. Come up with a few options but i'm open to suggestions:
1 - Get some computer upgrades
Pros:
2 - Get a used DSLR & Lens
Pros:
3 - Woodworking and Luther tools and materials
Pros:
4 - Astronomy Kit
Pros:
Well after not buying much of any significant value for a few years i've saved up around £300, and now i can't decide what to spend it on. Come up with a few options but i'm open to suggestions:
1 - Get some computer upgrades
Pros:
- Rely quite a lot on my computer, and a stock E2140, 2GB DDR2 and an x1950 Pro is starting to show it's age.
- Already have something that works, is fine for browsing and playing music which is 90% of what i use it for anyway.
2 - Get a used DSLR & Lens
Pros:
- Lost count of how many times i've thought 'I wish i had a camera.
- Allows for more creative things.
- Potential to get a little return on it.
- Besides my phone camera i don't already have something for this purpose.
- Can't think of any...
3 - Woodworking and Luther tools and materials
Pros:
- Something i'm very interested in.
- Pretty much sorts my dad's 50th and my brother's 21st birthday presents out.
- Can pay for itself eventually.
- Never actually getting the time to get round to it.
- There always being something else to buy.
4 - Astronomy Kit
Pros:
- Sends a shiver down my spine even to think about what's out there.
- Links with philosophy, which i am also extremely interested in.
- Living in an urban area.
- Not very multi-purpose.
- Not sure what you can get for that sort of budget.
