Two Office Builds

Hi, Never purcahsed this pc due to different reasons at xmas etc. But am now looking to buy as per my first post, and would likd if you guys and girls could help me Spec again please - to see if I can get more for my money?

Thanks for your time!

For office tasks I really don't think there will be any noticable difference between the x3 and the i3. Most office applications are going to be processor light so in practice what is actually going to affect performance will most likely be the hard drive and the quantity of RAM.

Go for a decent, fast HDD and 4GB of RAM and even a dual core processor will do you fine for office tasks.

Without trying to hijack someone else's thread. It's not strictly an office build but it's mainly for office jobs. It may at some point be used for the odd game (I don't mean solitaire)

Could save even more by using AM2+/2GB DDR2.

He might as well go with DDR3 As he will only save about £40, But DDR2 Is slowley dieing and ddr2 is getting more expensive

Is there really any reason you're digging up threads and spamming them?

Are you desperate for free shipping? Or is it the access to MM you're looking for?

Confused  Is this aimed at me? Digging up threads?

Haha no, was aimed at Freddie. At least 30 posts in 10 or so mins - half the threads he commented in hadn't been bumped in days (!!) and typically he came up with rather useless statements.

It's not the best you can get, price drops etc will let you get a fair bit more.

Give some people a chance :p

SB build would cost around £420, if you could stretch to that :)

SB is short for SandyBridge, which is Intels new range of chips - very very fast!

Lol SB .... SandyBridge How stupid of me... If I went for SB would I really see a good difference in speed? I mean the difference is only £100 right so if it makes a huge difference then why not?
