Anyone been Malaga?

I presume people only go to Malaga/Corfu/Ibiza/Zante/Malia/Magaluf etc. to hump like rabbits.

I'm sure being the med there's a probably a castle or something..

There isn't really much to do or see, go to the beach.

Visit other towns up down the coast?

Drink?

Won't be brilliant weather mind.

Sorry not great suggestions, I just spend too much time over there. It's not like the cities of the North. Can't think of anything you could go to do as a lot of stuff is seasonal. Waterparks etc

It's a city with an airport. Like most places, the Airport is named after the city ;)

But to be fair, it's a two hour drive between Malaga and 'Malaga' airport.

OP - In fact scrap what I said.

Walk round Malaga, it is actually quite nice. If you are new to Spanish culture it will be quite enjoyable.

Try tapas.

If you have the time, get a car and go up the moutains in Granada.

A close friend took me up and let me in on a local well kept secret - a gorgeous hot spring in the forrest.

There are quite a lot, but this one is out of the way and just epic. However there are a lot of well known ones all over the south east.

Get smashed and have a party! :)

Or perhaps down to Gib? You normally get bored in a day or so, and it might be a bit of a trek given your timescale but its certainly ammusing to see a mediterranean mini Britain. Once that novelty wears off though it loses its appeal.

Airport is around 5 minutes taxi drive from the City, further 5-10 minutes to the city centre depending on traffic. Don't know whether the 2 hour drive from Airport-->city was in jest or not, way way off either way :)

Loads of palaces and cathedrals if thats you're bag, Alcazaba is pretty cool to vist. Loads of tapas and Spanish bars, cant really recall any in particular, but it is a large-ish city (round 1/2 million iirc) Pedralejos seafront walk is full of great fish restaurants, that I do remember. Best figure out what you want to do, and do a bit of research methinks.

Granada is a good shout, about an hour's drive away.

The usual Torremolinos/Benalmadena/Marbella are very close too if you fancy that sort of thing, though much of it will be quiet at this time. And aye, will be iffy weather this weekend mate, sorry :/

There is actually supposed to be some fantastic mountain biking in the Malaga hills, never done so myself... and it also depends if you are even into Mountain Biking.
