Hmm, in this case it might be sensible to cut your losses and do a runner, and confront any pay issues from outside the box.
Provided that A) You don't need them for a reference and B) the other job is a safe bet... ie, its already in the bag, and they are more reputable?
Thanks for the advice, it's probably the smarter way to go. I'm waiting until i've got the final amount of my December pay then i'm off. Still unsure whether it's worth trying to get the pay i've earned this month, and if it could have any repurcussions due to me not working my notice.
I've been specifically told by the new boss not to tell my current employer where i'm moving to, so no reference needed. If they do i can always point them to my ex-manager who left a few months back, worked with him for nearly 3 years so it should be fine
