Hi guys I have two 30cm red cold cathodes installed in my CM HAF 922 case. However when I turn them on, after few minutes they glow brightly orange:(. On the net people have suggested using either 2-3 wraps of red cellophane or flame red gel sheet.

I would like to know if this is viable idea and if so which one would be better?

Many thanks:)

Replace them with these - I got similar in my 932 and they work really well - plus they stay RED! :)

It's not is it? It's just some geezer on ebay... OcUK are hardly going to lose business to him are they...

I don't see it as a competitor anyway, if it is then I'm sure a mod will shift it :) then I'll know not to post it again won't I ;)

good man :)

those lian li light's are nice but there is some more on the market and there is a thread on ocuk about the led strips.

i have white one's in my case and are very bright and have never dimmed or changed colour.

I've done this mod myself and can assure you that the type of film you get from craft shops works a treat. ( I think people use it for wrapping and stuff)

You actually have great control over the amount of light and how red it is by using more or less of the film. A few quid and you're sorted. One of the simplest mods there is.

Are you referring to red gel sheet or the lightning gel. Cellophane is also used to wrap gifts etc. Also can you link me to it in the trust please?

I actually have about 7 different colours here, was going to do a mod with them, but never got around to it. I can slice you off a strip to compare. I think I have Ruby Red as well as a few different colours.
