Nolan officially announces Batman 3!

Fixed it for you :p

I think Hush would be a fantastic choice. I'm not convinced Catwoman will be in it either, I think everyone's jumping to a quick conclusion there - I'd take a punt at Talia Al Ghul being in it, especially since her Dad was in the first.

Otherwise Penguin, Hugo Strange or maybe (outside shot) Black Mask.

Talia Al Ghul is a good call actually, would fit in well with the terrorist type theme to Nolan's films. maybe with a hint at the Lazarus Pits and Damian :)

and I'd completely forgot about Black Mask. damn, would be awesome if its a version of War Games with the Black Mask, sadly though would feel somewhat like The Dark Knight-ish.

I'm not a big fan of any of the Nolan Batman movies, however, Tom Hardy, could make this worth a watch.

Anne Hathaway just doesn't cut it for me. She is feminine to the extreme and if Catwoman is required to do some action/stunts I'm not sure how Hathaway will cope.

Also, in comic book movies, I prefer if there is a single villain. The moment you have multiple villains, the story tends to get messy. I disliked the previous Batman, mainly because it was ridiculously long, but also because they added 2-face into the mix. There was no need. The Joker was a great character on his own and the film would've been shorter and more watchable without the introduction of a new story arc.

The same goes for Spiderman 3 which was messed up because they added a 2nd villain (played by Topher Grace). Fighting the Sandman was more than enough, I think.

By all means, have henchmen. Have lots of henchmen. But concentrate on doing 1 head villain, well and don't create a movie, which is so overtly long that the audience is beginning to clock watch.

Bane done well would be good, none of that crap they did before.

Catwoman....I'm not a fan.

Bane could be fantastic, as long as they stick to his actual background to some degree, i.e a genius, and not some snivelling muscle man with no personality.

Catwoman....eh, Burtons Catwoman was amazing, improving on it could be difficult, depends what the inspiration for her is.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who prefered BB to DK. I just found it a more enjoyable film, and despite DK being a good film, I consider it overrated to the extreme, its by no means perfect like some seem to make out.

A dead star makes for great marketing, frankly.

Catwoman is not a villain, though. She's an anti-hero. Besides, Selena Kyle is a love interest of Bruce Wayne so it makes sense.

Eeek! Catwoman isn't exciting me as much as the idea of Huge Strange was, but I can't wait to see what Christopher does with Bane. And as mentioned above, let's have the huge brain power as well as the huge muscle, please. :p

And yes, Christopher Nolan has said that this will be the last one, so Bane could well become 'the man who broke the bat'.

Bane shouldn't be done yet.
I'd really like to see the whole Knightfall saga but it would need to be adapted so Azrael wasn't involved

3D is not just another effect that can be tacked onto a film. In order to shoot an entire film in 3D without making your head spin the director needs to cut down on fast edits. Imagine films like Goodfellas shot in 3D with no fast edits. They just wouldn't be the same. Plus when I took my glasses off while watching Avatar in the cinema I noticed the colours were so much more vibrant.

I'd rather great film making and story telling than hamstringing an entire film for some colour faded fad.

If you are using really quick flash edits, you would probably just keep it flat... if we are talking a 3D Conversion... that's been the case with the Stereographers I've worked with. It's so quick you won't even notice it.

Also what you are referring to about colours is nonsense. The 3D version of the film has a separate 3D grade and LUT to account for the difference between the 2D and 3D.

He's right about the colours in so far as the glasses use polarising technology which - by its nature - blocks some of the light, so the scene looks darker.

This. It's far too early in Batman's career for Bane.

Although his inclusion might be an adaptation of Knightfall. Breaking the Bats back might be the perfect way for Nolan to end his trilogy...

It's definitely a Nolan/Bale last one. But I can't see WB ending the franchise. Aronofsky said he'd like to take it over. Doing his own trilogy might be a good shout.

Yeah, I'm sure that there will be another Batman film, possibly even franchise but Nolan has said this will be his last.

She did a bit of action in Get Smart didn't she?
