Mass Effect 2 on the PS3

wondering if local tesco has a copy of this. I'm going to cave in and buy this I know I am. I've got the game on PC, but I really do like the idea of a first person shooter with easy RPG added and the story sounds excellent played with a gamepad using my TV. sounds like a winner to me.

and from all accounts the final code of the released game is very good, the demo was unlimited frame rate without v sync. Final game is tightened up and apparently very good. Reviews are coming in very high.
 
Can someone please post the PSN price on here when it's up, I'm curious to know as I've got £20 languishing in my PSN wallet atm which I might put towards it.
I'm guessing it'll be £39.99, but there's a slim chance of a PS+ discount, which might make it a goer.

hmmm I was tempted by the PSN download but I can't help feel it'll be full RRP which could make it nearly £49.99..!!

I'm about to nip out in my lunch break and see if Tesco has it, I could get 10% off if my mum is working today as she works at Tesco so I'll get it much cheaper then PSN..

Got the last copy my local tesco had, quite surprised they only had one on the shelf. anyhow, with discount it worked out about the same price as most online stores.

Still at work, so not had chance to try it yet but hopefully something other to play on PS3 as all I've done since December is play GT5.. lol
 
Just tips for people who haven't played it on 360 do the planet scanning! As the ship does need upgrades for certain trophies requirements later on also as boring as it is best way to find quests you wouldnt normal come accros =]
 
Interesting to see that the Cerberus Network code expires on January 1, 2012. Does this mean they're planning another release with all DLC (paid and free) on one disc? Hope so.

I wasn't far off when I said £49.99. I got a copy for just over £35 which for a year old game isn't great but I must say - its an excellent game to play with a gamepad.

I'm so pleased I got this, I played ME1 on PC with a keyboard and mouse and whilst it was good, graphics were good etc I hated the control method. ME2 on the PS3, sat on my sofa, with a gamepad is brill.

Graphics are good too, comic was a bit naff I felt. Glad I knew the story from Me1 anyhow. But, I've noticed some serious performance drops in places, and I don't normally tend to notice. However, its 100% free of any screen tear and its a lot clearer to see then the demo.

Demo really didn't do this game any favours. Its very good, story is excellent. More a third person shooter then RPG, but its a real treat for PS3 owners if you like this sort of game.
 
Picked this up from Sainsburys a few hours ago. Currently installing the game now.

Was rather shocked at the minimal reading material within the case... Are times really that hard!
 
Oh yeah it's a top game, personally the best game I've ever played. I'm on my 5th playthough on xbox, just find it hilarious PS Store seems to think it's acceptable to charge £8 more for a digital copy. Especially when it's £35 if you look a little harder.
 
Just put quite a few hours into this and its a lot more shooting then the first one....

You seem to talk, walk and then shoot your way through although there are a few bits so far I've seen like ME1 where you try and be either ruthless or diplomatic whilst talking..

Its good but I'm playing on normal and died a few times already - which never happened as much for me in the early stages of ME1. I'm actually quite surprised how light the RPG elements are, and how heavy the shooting parts are.

Anyone who doesn't like RPG games, don't be fooled this is quite a good shooting game lol Not a bad game, graphics like fantastic apart from some low res textures in places - you can see it but it really doesn't put the game to shame.
 
Currently using Garrus and Jacob, Garrus was a right lucky - erm well don't want to spoil it but this game is amazingly good.. I'm 7 hours in and don't think i'm anywhere near half way through..

Loads to do and see, excellent story based shooter. Right up there with uncharted 2 for me on this one...
 
Love this game.

Lat night a collected Jack from that Prison.

Shocked this remained a 360 exclusive for so long.... Meh better late than never I guess.

The Comic was great!

I have no doubt it was but for me (someone who has never played the game before) it was great.

Why the first one wasnt released on the PS3.... I thought it was common knowledge that the first one was for the 360 and the 360 only.... Whats strange about it lol!
