New headset advice

Looking to get a new headset after my speedlinks wire snapped.

I like speedlinks headsets, they are comfy and the mic is crystal clear but I'm not sure I should get a third pair (they both broke stupidly) + I couldn't control the sound output from media player (could mute the volume on it but the sound would still play).

Also I'm not sure which section has the better headsets, gaming or 5.1's.

Gaming 5.1's ARE headsets. Headphones with mic's attached are called headsets.

Don't bother with headsets with multiple speakers in. 2 speakers is enough. USB headsets are virtual 5.1. Alternatively, get a 2 speaker headset with analogue plugs and plug it into your sound card. The card needs to have CMSS or dolby headphone to be effective in games though.

also get a asus xonar DG you would be laughing

or you could get a DG+ Fiio E5.....than goldrings maybe with a speedlink ( most headphones will blow even the onces I listed out the water) depends whats more inportant to you
