Hi Guys

Ive been out of the OC game for abit. Last OC'd awhile ago with my 775 cpu so my 2600k is a new lesson for me.

Below is a screen shot of my OC. Please ignore the run time, the screenshot didnt take so reset it all up just to get the readings.

I hope to push to 4.4ghz next week.

Nice matt great overclock for the vcore...

Now thrash prime95 torture test through it for a good 6-8 hours

Heres the strange thing. I used prime and one core kept failing (not normally the same one). So i turned the voltage up and it kept failing.

Then I tried LinX and folding and it was happy for 2hours. Played some games and its been fine.

You want to be prime stable really mate, usually when your prime stable for several hours your linx and ibt stable too.

Is your RAM overclocked?

If it is run memtest just so you can cancel that out..

Have you put PLL up a notch see if that helps at all?

I got it prime stable on a 2hr test using a PPL voltage of 1.65v. I did discover thoe that the Asus tool doesnt appear to save it in the bios so when i rebooted the machine this morning it was terribly unstable.

If your folding stable, ignore Prime totally, iv had clocks be 24hour + stable, but where buggy for folding.

Folding is a far better stress test then prime, so use that as your guide for stability.
