PS3 "Classics HD" line - GOW & Sly Cooper so far

Vice City pleeeaaaaaaase, please, please, please. :(

I have it on PC but using Xpadder to set up the controls is just a chore and the 360 pad doesn't work well with it anyway, you can't set it up to properly use the triggers for accelerate and brake. Just do it already Sony / Rockstar you bunch of wasters. :p

I actually emailed Rockstar last week about that, not expecting to get a reply, but hats off to them, they did send me an email. Basically, as they haven't made an official announcement they can neither confirm nor deny if they are going to do one.

They wouldn't even need to be HD remakes, just pop them all onto one disc, and it's happy days for me.

Rockstar must know GTA trilogy would be a cash cow if they remastered it. I bet it will be announced at E3 or something. :)

I think they'd have to do a lot more to those games than just make them higher res. They'd have to make the world feel more life like, like in GTA4... but then , at that point, they might as well just make it GTA4: Vice City.

It's not about making the gameplay better, just making the game look better. No changes to the code (apart from Cell-ing it), just the textures and resolution. ;)

Top man. :)

I don't even care if the graphics are remastered in HD, or if they make the world more lifelike, or even add trophies, as far as I'm concerned I just want to play them as they were back on the PS2 and I'd happily buy them again. If they are actually going to release them I'll do an actual sex wee.

You've had that. Didn't MGS4 take up a whole dual-layer BD by itself? ;) I don't think there are quad-layer BDs in use yet.

i think it used the whole disc due to uncompressed sound IIRC? and to be honest, its not really needed. a bumper pack of metal gear would be IMMENSE.

maybe update the engines all to the metal gear solid 4 engine and put a retail price tag on it, hell id still pay 39 quid for it. even if it had four discs in the box, 1 for each game.

maybe i'm just dreaming and it'll never happen.. :(

Not at all, if they just released them 'as is' as a collection on one disk they'd sell like crazy. Imo, the worst thing they could do to those games would be to try and change them in any way. A graphics overhall would be nice, just not really needed.

Metal Gear Solid HD trilogy coming to PS3?

An HD reworking of the original Metal Gear Solid trilogy is on the way to PS3, according to 'insider whispers' heard by the ears of the UK's Official PlayStation Magazine.

In the mag's new issue, in stores now, it reports that Snake is "in the facelift queue", and that the "first three" MGS games are set to be reborn in High Definition.

No details of release window, price or whether the trilogy will be a boxed or digital product are given.

However, any reworking of Kojima-san's much-loved original trio will be music to the ears of PlayStation nuts, with the games still very much considered classics of the genre.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots is currently the only MGS title to be released for PS3. It enjoys a very healthy 94 per cent average review score on Metacritic. Could it be joined by its predecessors in full HD later this year?

We've contacted Sony and Konami for comment.

I would do a sex wee if this was true!

wish they'd release the entire Resident Evil collection in HD and the first 'proper' three tomb raider games.

Resident evil 1, 2 and 3 as well as Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3 in HD 1080p would make me quite happy...

Dream..!! lol
