Hi All,

Just built my system and trying to install software,

What software do i need to install as the error is as below

under other devices I get yellow triangle

PCI SIMPLE COMMUNICATIONS CONTROLLER

And

SM BUS CONTROLLER

Use the InstallAll utility from the mobo driver cd. Install everything except antivirus and browser choice (which you've already sorted), and maybe the Intel LAN Controller (which it sounds like you have already installed) I believe those two in particular relate to intel and marvell drivers for the sata controlllers. Even though they're not PCI devices. Yeah.

Basically a lot of the devices on the p8p67 series aren't recognised by windows 7 at all. I'm used to things being detected out of the box so that certainly made the LAN controller part fun.

yep, reinstall the intel chipset drivers... i had to do it twice... confused me too.

Bleedin software.... now to update bios from 501 to 1053

Another quick question,

Should I update bios in sequence or just install the latest?

Just the latest, then clear the CMOS (follow the instructions in the manual - power down, remove cable, move CLRTC jumper, wait, return CLRTC jumper). If you set a password in the BIOS clearing the CMOS will remove it, which is useful for making sure the clear operation was successful.

Hi but the deluxe does not have a jumper its got a switch at the back panel which I will need to hold in, I did not even get to update bios so I am reinstalling windows first as I got the BSOD after doing a series of windows updates
