Best graphics card for sandy bridge?

I am currently in a bit of a dilemma considering what to buy for my new sandy bridge system. I plan on an i7 2600k, and would like to rely on the integrated graphics. However, as the h67 can't be overclocked (unless anyone knows anything different) i may go for a p67, which would require a graphics card. If I do need to go down this route, does anyone know of the best cards for 2600k i7s?

Arent the integrated graphics on the actual CPU itself? So if you want to use them it should work on a P67 too, or is it missing the output?

What budget do you have for a graphics card?

I intend to use the system for gaming, media and high end music editing. dont really have a budget, want a card to do the job well. @bhavv, P67 motherboards do not have any integrated graphics support as far as im aware, so no outputs.

Ah, yea I just checked and the P67 needs a PCI-E card for video output.

The MSI 5850 is £130 until tomorrow, otherwise I'd recommend waiting for the upcoming GTX 560 which should start a mid range price war.

Bandwidth issue. Can VGA carry 120 hz + 1920x1080 resolution?

holy crap, delete this post please.

Power supply? Budget? What P67 board are you thinking about getting? Would you consider having a dual graphics card setup?

Dont think ill need dual graphics cards. unsure which board or power supply. The real question is whether the graphics processing ability of the 2600k means that a less powerful card is required. i did not mention in my original post that another reason for not going for h67 is that none of the motherboards seem to support anything above ddr3 1333mhz, whereas most p67s support up to 2200. As for the budget im aiming for the whole system to be around 700.

What's the main purpose of the system? Gaming or video encoding / rendering? Are the applications you intend to use able to use hyperthreading?

Trying to fit a decent gaming gfx card & i7 2600k may be a struggle with a budget of 700.

As you said, H67 boards allow the use of the integrated gpu but wont allow for overclocking at all. The P67 will allow overclocking but you'll need to use a dedicated graphics card.

You mention gaming as one of the uses in an earlier post so you'll need a dedicated graphics card as the integrated gpu won't play any games very well all even at low resolution and lowest settings.

If you have no use for hyperthreading then is recommend going with an i5 2500k and P67 board, overclock it and get a mid range card.
