WiFi,

just switched it off again 2 more times, took battery out and retyped pass again

one more....how do I get mobile to sync contacts with my phone contacts.....some names on facebook are bit different then in real life and in mine mobile...old system suggested names of contacts that can match the ones in facebook...but on this new OS i can not get working...

Guys, having a bit of a wierd one with my Battery since last night.

Used it as a wi fi hotspot for my laptop for about an hour, downloaded something too it to transfer over to my laptop too. Ever since then when I have data turned on the battery is being drained loads faster than normal, usually my phone will use 1-2% an hour if i'm not doing anything, but its currently up to something ridiculous 8-9% an hour,maybe more, it is noticable, I haven't changed any settings and have tried rebooting a couple of times, but to no avail, when I turn data off, it seems to go back to its normal usage of 1-2% an hour.

Does any one have any ideas on what could be causing this?

It may look like a lot of hassle but it wont take you long and I can confirm it works perfectly.

I thought you had to downgrade before using VISIONary, or is that sorted out now?

only if you have applied latest OTA update ... me think so if you run 1.72 then you have to downgrade(?)

Yeah, you need to be on 1.3.2 not 1.7.

Marginaly worse than my omniscient 7, any smartphone worth its salt needs charged within a day/day and a half, I'd rather charge on the night while asleep than worry about it the lunch time the following day, that's with decent use anyway.

my battery was 100% this morning, took off charge at 8am. Now 6 hours later its on 28%. never had it this bad before.

Took mine off charge this morning at 7, got 2 email accounts syncing every 15 minutes, btooth active, screen brightness on auto, 45 minutes of forum browsing. Odd turn on word fued 25 to 30 txts and I have 49% remaining, ill get in tonight and use the PC so that will last till bed and ill charge for tommorow.

Thats the usual usage i get from it, but today, something has gone wrong as ive changed no settings and the battery has been destroyed for some reason

Seems to be similar to what I got, does your battery usage improve if you turn off mobile data?

Anyone else not getting an SMS alert now and then?
I keep missing messages that were sent hours ago as the phone seems not to have bothered notifying me of it. (no sound, no '1' next to the messages icon)

This is a bug in the 2.2.1 update afaik.
