Alright guys,

Are lass as accidentally somehow managed to drop her phone then stand on the phone with her high heels on, which as resulted in cracking the Amoled screen.

She as rang T-mobile and they have told her to take it into the shop tomorrow for a repair quote. But they have said if the ink as leaked, the phone will not be able to be repaired? Is this true?

Unfortunately she hasn't got insurance on the phone either (she doesn't see need of it and its a waste of money  ) and i couldn't manage to get her phone on my insurance with natwest.

She's just on about sticking it on Ebay and getting another phone from the money it makes, problem is we don't want to sell the phone with her data still on it. Is there anyway you can do a factory reset with out having to use the screen?

Thanks

I think you should be able to, I only have a vivaz myself but the PC suite has the option for factory reset. Just plug in to PC with usb and see what comes up. If the PC suite installer isn't on the phone itself there should be a disk.

The screen/digitiser/glass is all glued together on the sAMOLED? Maybe thats why they're prepared to write it off? Check out how much the oem part costs, should be a simple fix.

I would've expected a high heel to have done damage deeper than just the screen

It's gorilla glass so the heel probably just shattered it? (unless she's a v.big girl :D)

Haha, na i dont do big birds. :D

Theres nothing wrong with the glass, its the actual screen behind it that as crack.

She's already made her decision to just chuck it on Ebay.....
