Plasma Emission Technology!

Yes that right real 3D!

Sure this tech is 30 years off but how cool would it be?

Edited Addition:

Another good experimental technology is ultrasonic tactile technology. This can add the sensation of touch to virtual objects.

Still a way off getting holographic sex slaves though....

..er i mean this looks ace!

haha i can imagine you now

Castor: Computer create woman
Computer: Would you like me to load your default large breasted submissive?
Castor: Aw yeah!

That is superb. Not like the crap they are trying to sell as 3d now.

Yeah 3D tech now is so naff, also even the new screens that ul see in a year or so using the new glassesless "lenticular" system are gonna be pants. In order to run the lenticular lense you sacrifice resolution and have verticle interlacing. Seriously its just so silly. Sure they may increase over time but initially the tech will be so poor.

+1

The Oil and gas Industry already use 3D to model subsurface information, I could see them jumping on this very quickly. Same for a lot of other high tech industries and even retail.

I would love to be able to physically touch, stretch, etc stuff as I model ... will be far more natural

So touching one of those dots would be rather painful? Castors idea of a sex slave may not come to fruition then... :p

What industry do you work in?

We have a 3D "cinema" in our study room (uni) but its broken at the moment so we have to make do with just standard modelling on screens.:(:p

It would be a lot easier to be able to trace horizons and place points and lines with a finger, whilst spinning an object in mid air..
