Hi Guys,

Been having some problems updating my board to any thing other than the shipped BIOS - in my case F3 (backed it up prior to any flash attempt)

I'll list the faults and maybe one of your guys has experienced the same.

F6 - checksum error on post, backup re-flash

F7b - flashes ok, but can't enable raid support, well I can but then the board will not post - no other changes made the BIOS other than enabling raid.

F7e - Corrupt CMOS error on post. Can enter BIOS but can't change anything

F7f - checksum error and flash from backup.

All flash attempts have been made while no overclocking, so bog standard auto on everything.

I've tried @BIOS as well a q-flash, same results as above. I've tried re-downloading the bios files - just to check that they've not become corrupt - same as above.

F3 - flashing fine and has full fuctionality but will not oc stable beyound 4.2GHz

Any ideas guys?

Thanks 1Day for your reply.

A couple of the guys on xtremesystems have the same problem as I, which would suggest that some more work is required on the BIOS's coming through right now.

F7F works for me if I do not enable the RAID controller, as soon as I do (main win 7 install is on a RAID array) the board will not post and hangs on detecting IDE drives.

So F3 untill an official release. I'm just lucky to have a windows install on a non RAID drive.

Thanks all

ALT+F12 after/during POST , so when u get the checksum error bios does not go back to F3 after- I flashed from dos usb stick, i don't trust @BIOS

I do not really trust @BIOS either but with a DUAL bios system you can not brick your motherboard.

And no once you have Alt+F12 and backed up your new bios into the dual bios slot all that will happen if you have a major bios moment is the board will reflash your bios with the one it backed up. So cool.:)
