ah i miss-read the post... never flown solo in PvP

im a rubbish EFT warrior but i cant get higher than 850dps tank without implants/pills... and that was with active modules - which the bhaal would switch off for you quick sharp.

Not gonna give anything away... but heres an example of what you can do purely passive with a bit of ISK - but not unrealistically expensive - this fit wouldn't be good for much more than soaking up damage but its merely an example.

(The RF extenders aren't essential but don't bloom sig as much as regular T2 ones).

I think I'd better decline... not coz of the price but because the first thing I'd do is fit one to my lol tank comet and get it killed.

EDIT: That said it would be quite funny seeing people trying to gank it and most likely fail.

You'll have to forgive Rroff, he is an actual EVE EFT Troll (not by choice), but he can't help it. Think of it as a smack addict trying to give up the habit. One day he picked it up, and it's been starting up with windows ever since.

We've helped him attend the "EFT anonymous" focus groups, but to no avail unfortunately, hopefully one day we can cure him of this tragic disease. But for the time being we have to drip feed him practical fits for use out on the field, till he can get back onto his feet.

Rroff, don't take this the wrong way, but you're posts reek of an inexperienced player toying around in EFT, with very little real PvP knowledge or experience. There have been so many holes in your Gila argument it's pretty ridiculous. I'm going to go ahead and guess you are in an Empire corporation, you have a semi pimped Gila, and you have had 'play fights' with even more inexperienced corpies.

Not trying to have a go, just saying - You're way off the mark with a lot of what you have said.

I'm not the most experienced player ever... but I have my fair share of null and whs fights albeit mostly fleet rather than solo:

With plenty of use of the gila so far without loss of it. Yes those fits I've posted have been fairly much lol fits but I did say as much. But in all seriousness I do have a fairly decent PVP gila fit that can tank a ton and isn't completely incapable.

You really should have a look at the TXSI killboard before calling my corpies inexperienced tho

Problem with these things outside of bait situations is that unless you just run into that magical one person who isn't themselves bait or got friends close by then having a 1000 dps tank only counts for as long as you can either get away yourself, or kill the person who has you tackled.....

Yeah indeed, I'm under no illusion that I'd kill a bhaal in a real 1v1 PVP situation, for one its far from guaranteed I'd be able to get on top of it, that its MWD rather than AB fit so I can scram it and the small nos work effectively enough to keep the point running against heavy neuting. Also only too aware how fast the buffer goes even with epic defence when you have more than 1-2 people shooting you.

I get really bored of a game if it all come down to cookie cutter fits tho I like to try off the wall stuff see what works and what doesn't.
