Keanu Reeves Says Matrix 4 and 5 are Coming

I get really annoyed with "to be continued" stories, so I'll wait until 5 is out before seeing 4.

First one was fresh and I enjoyed it.

The nonsensical techno babble of the follow-ups however were almost enough to ruin the experience of the first one.

I'd definitely go see them because the first movie had me hooked on the concept. 2nd and 3rd movies totally let everyone down obviously.

Hmmm, was trying to think what happened at the end of the third one, he killed Smith and was then assimilated back into the matrix wasn't he? Guess that could give us scope for another two films...

I love the idea of doing a prequel or two though, would be epic, although probably quite similar to T4...

dont go 3d :(

Why? If the 3D is done properly (and as they are talking about using proper 3D then it looks like it will be) you can watch it in 2D without any issues if you hate depth so much.

If they do stupid Pirana 3D style with things coming out the screen every 5 seconds then I agree with you!:p

Revolutionise the action genre like the first one? Or stagnate like the latter two?

Whilst the first film is better than the other two i cant help but feel that i'm glad they made Reloaded and Revolutions. Added more complexity to the initial idea. (ie i thought whilst The Matrix was a good film - the concept behind it was stale in of itself - 2 and 3 flesh it out and add complexity...which unfortunately some folk dont get :) )

Besides the fact that i thought Reloaded as an action movie in its own right was pretty good. It has flaws sure but i can overlook them.

As regarding the 3d...if its Avatar level of 3d then OK cool :) if its not then will prolly stick to the plain ole normal version.

I'm not usually that fond of 3D, but for these films it might turn out quite good.

I liked the first two films (yes Reloaded as well), and the difference is similar to that between Alien and Aliens.

Revolutions was ok, as it was a difficult thing to wrap up, although I wouldn't willingly watch it if it was on tv.

Gotta be a hoax, right?

Incidentally, it's easy to forget that the second Matrix film actually got a better critical reception than the first...

Dunno what to think about this tbh! Im half asleep and then see the thread title which makes my eyes open wide lol

The first Matrix was a film that cannot be topped imho! That movie was something else when it came out and the moment it was released for rental I hired the vhs version and watched it four times (im that sad lol)
The whole story with the machines, neo in the real world and the underground city just made it great until the next two came along and poo'd all over it from a great height :(

Also Bill n Ted 3 is too late... how the hell will they sort out the fact rufus (Will Carlin - spelling?) has passed on? You cant do another one without rufus :(

EDIT: Proof that I need to hit the sack and also hang my head in shame is because... its George Carlin not Will Carlin!!! Im tired so will bow out gracefully lol.

If its properly shot for 3D with thought about how to most effectively use 3D in each scene its no bad thing - I will still watch it in 2D but movies properly shot for 3D tend to have more visceral action scenes even in 2D.

Ultimately tho I don't want to see another Matrix movie unless it can replicate the impact of the original - a pretty hard billing tho inception came quite close.

i think this is a hoax, the wowski bro's said that they want to leave the matrix as it is. Neo made the sacrifice to save the matrix and have peace.
