Current best air cooler?

Ok so i have been watercooling my system for ages with an awesome watercooling setup which i will later be selling on the members market.

I want to go back to air cooling just because its easier, i dont use my pc for benching anymore.

So what is the best air cooler out there currently?

CPU is an i7 920.

There are lots of reviews that will have different results.

The best coolers available are perhaps the Noctua D14, Thermalright Sivler Arrow or the Prolimatech Super Mega in that order. Also have a look at the VenomousX and Cogage arrow.

As W3bbo says, those are the best coolers to look at. The Silver Arrow, NH-D14 and Venomous X are certainly my top 3 coolers.

Yup. It's also the same case with IFX-14 and Cogage Arrow. Even the IFX-14 has vanished from ocuk. I think these should be getting more recognition. Noctua NH-D14 seems to be every where lol.

I'm liking the Archon C64 - I'd not seen this cooler before and might consider this now as I'd like to have all 4 RAM slots available. Does anyone have any experience of using this cooler? Be good to know if it's easy to install, if it's quiet and does a decent job of cooling.

The few reviews so far put it right up there with the d14 and silver arrow and even thats with 1x fan.It comes with the same fan the silver arrow comes with.It's very tall though and wont fit in a large percentage of cases.
