Following on from the "what p67 motherboard will you buy thread", I thought it be a good idea to guage how many of you have yet to do so and why.

Are you still researching on components? Waiting for prices to settle down? Waiting on a release?

Me, personally, I am waiting for EVGA's range of boards and seeing what the reviews say and also waiting for prices across the board to fall.

What are you intending to buy?

I'll be going for 2600K, EVGA P67 SLI, Corsair Dominator CL8 and a Noctua or Thermalright. Still researching on coolers. Later on it will be a PSU (Antec or Corsair or Enermax - not decided yet) and 2x GTX560 with 2 23 or 24 inch TFTs.

:D

i'm waiting 2 - 4 months, so they can tweak the 32nm process & release a new stepping. as for mobo's, it'll like as not be an MSI, i normally go ASUS, but i fancy a change this time.

As I'm after micro-ATX I was waiting for this EVGA board, or I might wait a bit longer to see if Asus bring out a GENE.

Depending on how long the above take to reach retail I might just wait and see what AMD plan to release. Although I prefer Intel for finding drivers, as AMD push to using the motherboard manufactures site which is often lagging behind.

Waiting for prices to go down a bit, for some consensus on solid motherboards, and possibly for the next generation Intel SSDs.

I'm going crazy here with what motherboard to choose. Looks like I'm not the only one too. Argh!

Yes i spent ages deciding which board to get but the very day i went to buy asus came up trumps with some new BIOSes so it was that that ultimatly swayed me to the asus board.

I'm still unsure what to go for... MSI P67A-C45 Intel P67 or Asrock P67 Extreme 6 Intel P67.

MSI is on offer, but I just can't decide if I will sli/crossfire later on :(.

at least I have till friday (payday) to decide.

I'm just waiting to get the cash together but probably going to go with the Asrock Extreme6 mobo. Has had good reviews and more features for the same money compared to Asus P8p67 pro which was my previous favourite.

Geez, come on EVGA. Their forum seems to suggest early Feb release but what the hell is the hold up? Most manufacturers have released P67 boards now.

Going to skip SB altogether. The performance increase is not that great for the price paid, there seem to be a lot of problems at the moment, particularly with Asus boards and hopefully AMD's Bulldozer core will shake the market up a bit. Another reason is that i really do not see the point in having a built in gpu on the cpu when i will never use the damn thing. Why can't Intel make a version without the GPU which should come in cheaper and do away with the overclocking problems?

Considering the max multi is 57 and a lot of people can get 5ghz+ so far I don't see the point in waiting.

I'd rather get as much lifeout of this as possible.
