Hey all,

Speccing up a PC for a friend with £1,200 to spend... will be used for playing games mainly (Crysis 2, etc. when they're released). Want to run all games on full spec without hitch and a nice overclocked Sandybridge. My personal opinion, could do with a don giving a hand here:
  • Too pricey PSU, maybe a cheaper Corsair would do (even HX650W)
  • GPU is way too powerful for normal gaming usage
  • Case? I have no idea about cases
  • No matter where I look on Overclockers, I get about 3 opinions on air coolers for CPUs: Frio, Tranquillo and Megahalems rev B (gonna push/pull with Vipers)

Anyway, here's the spec:

Also a 23" monitor is needed, and about £100 for kb and mouse (so final budget is round about £1,000-£1,100). Any help welcome!

Cheers,
- Saul

You could save some money by getting the memory below:

You can drop the PSU to the Corsair 650w.

Part from that a nice build.
Hmmm is there a reason CPC recommends the XMS3 for DDR3 dual channel memory? And yeah I've dropped to 650W, thanks.
very good.

your right about a 650w psu doing the job.

did you also want sli in the future?

keyboard - was going to say Microsoft X4, but its done a hoodini
Don't think SLI would be necessary to be honest, just kicking more heat into the system and with the power of the GTX 560 Ti's... well I don't think I'd need more :p

Opinions on cases anyone?

isn't the 560 he chose for preorder only.

it says its overdue, the other preorder card has a date of arrival, so i can only assume that the gigabyte is just late and will arrive in stock asap.

or its arrived, but not been booked into stock yet by the lazy warehouse monkeys.
