Do you have a personal hero or role model that you look up to?

Mine is probably Biggie Smalls, because we had similar lifes and I can always find inspiration in his music.

What about you?

I suppose so.

Tyson + Schwarzenegger.

Both started at the bottom and rose to the top.

Gotta love Biggie Smalls too. Not sure he had the dedication of the 2 above but his lyrics and skills were on another level, he brought it back to the East Coast, but my hiphop idle is The RZA.

I wouldn't say Tyson is a hero, but after watching "Tyson" I have a lot more respect for him. It's a really good documentary actually.

He wasn't perfect, but in some ways that is what is endearing. No one is, but I don't think he raped anyone and was screwed over by Don King, wasted his money but seems to have ended up wiser in the process.

The documentary is brilliant. Better than the biggie movie. :p

Seems to me thats there is something wrong in the world when people think that good rolel models include rapists and gangbangers.

When you have no parents, live in the bronx in the 80s and come out alive, that is amazing, when you become the heavyweight campion of the world...

not sure about Biggie, good rapper but thats about it.

Ok Prof Brian cox. born in Oldham, awesome musical skillz, works on the Hadron collider and is a TV presenter and all round cool guy.

There are plenty of people who grew up in similar if not worse circumstances than Mike Tyson who didn't subsequently find it necessary to beat and rape women, cheat in the ring, or who spent their teens as a petty criminal.

He did have Parents btw his father left when he was 2, his mother died when he was 16 and he grew up in Brooklyn, not the Bronx.

Hehe, ok I should do more research, but he was the best boxer ever and he was champion before the ear thing. likely didn't rape anyone, it was his word against hers which is a joke. I still respect even if he doesn't quite get hero status. but you can't say anything bad about Arnold Schwarzenegger or Brian Cox.

also I have respect for Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, both seem down to earth. Got loaded and gave a lot of it away. The Gates foundation does some amazing stuff. Unlike Steve jobbs whos simply spends his money on polo necks.

People hero worship Mandela and he is no better than a pre-2000 Robert Mugabe. Eye of the beholder and all that.

considering kwerk's general racism in most threads I'm guessing he's setting this up for a trolling.

Mine has to be Peter Molyneux... some of his games are epic, and his influence on the gaming industry, well, only a handful of people can claim this influence...
