Hey guys,

I'm looking to change over the trim (If that's what it's called :p) inside my car. My friend has a kinda checkered carbon fibre style going on, and I wondered where I could get some? Any ideas?

It's a 2007 Astra SXI.

Can't polish a turd so why bother....:)

Have you tried removing the trim. If it unclips you can prob order the different ones from vx or try a scrapyard. If they are part of the dash though the film may be the best way.

Seriously though any reason for bothering as won't improve visuals and the vx fake cf check looks naff.

So when you say "New Astra" you mean Old Astra right?

I wouldn't bother unless you can get a replacement for the heater blower/stereo/heater controls/gear stick surround, as that huge expanse of silver low quality plastic will stick out even worse with no accents around the rest of the interior.

shouldnt be too hard, I work on them in Ellesmere Port and can be popped out, if you take the part out....

This, it would look very weird with just those two bits of trim in a different colour. Also the steering wheel would look out of place even if you did the whole dash/console.

My old one had the "Carbon" option, exactly as you detail but the heater controls on mine were darker than the ones you have. Looked good but not sure how it would mix with the light control surrounds.

People on the astra forums will be helpful i'd guess.
