Ford Servicing

Hello all,

I own a Focus ST and its time for MOT and Service. Been in contact with local dealer (Brighton) not impressed with what they would call "Customer Service" (Promised to call me back twice and clearly have no intention of doing so)

Just wondering if theres any Ford owners on here in the East Sussex area and if so where do they go for services. I am trying to keep the service history up on the car so needs to be in line with that.

Just posting to get ideas really and have a bit of a moan.

I'd go & find a business who values your custom & take it from there....

I have found this to be more the norm with a lot of garages. Don't know why they are so poor with communication. Bugs me when you phone them and they say "oh yes it needs this, would you like us to do it?". You know damn well your car has been sitting there for ages. You say yes I would like it done and you then get told it is to late to start and complete it today and it wont be ready till tomorrow.

Arrgh, if they called you at the time they said they would you could have probably had it back the same day!!

Ive had terrible service on my car from Ford. They wont re-do my stripes even though i paid them to fit them.

They replied to my first letter but seem to have ignored my second.

Just an update really but had the car booked in for M.O.T and Service with Local dealer and I know the car needs 2 new front tyres and so have been looking around online and phoning local places for what seems like most of the week. On local dealers website they will match the price of tyres to anywhere within a five mile radius.

Got a decent(ish) price from somewhere within the radius and so called them up to see if they would honour price match whereupon I was informed it would need to go through the manager and he would call me back. No call so I called back and was promised a ring back. Never happened. The difference between the dealer price and local fitter was only £20 or thereabouts. Due to the poor show from them I will be cancelling MOT and Service tomorrow and going elsewhere.

Excellent way to do business and ensure repeat custom no?

I got my 3rd service and tracking at a main dealer for £250, they miss quoted by about £70 though. And when I took it to another dealer for diagnostics they quoted me something daft like £175 for conti's in the end I got 4 new conti SC3's from black circles for £500.
