After much pain and suffering since I finished uni last year I have finally got a job in exactly what I want to do!

I found it really difficult, from June till December I had 1 interview and this month alone things picked up and I had 3 (this being my 3rd).

A lot was down to the amount I was applying and luck I suppose!

Congrats, just got offered a new contract today myself.
Been off for three months (out of choice) and will be good to get back into an office environment again.

I did a degree in actuarial mathematics and statistics at Kingston university, got a 2.2

After that was just applying like a mad man for ages

Well the salary was 16,000 - 22,000, when they send me my contract I'll find out exactly what it is. I'd wager 18 tbh

Seriously, don't worry too much about the 2.2 - once you're got a few years experience under your belt no-one will bother about your degree grade.
I got a 2.2 as well and now my education is barely relevant at all after several years of relevant employment.

Am only 16 but dont even remotely know what I want to do.

I was set on an ICT job but am not so sure now.
Am thinking mechanics of somthing.

I'm not sure about private as I have only ever worked in public sectors but all x->y wages = x on this side of the fence, esp if it was never discussed before hand. Don't go spending it all before you know what your getting! You can always wait till next month to get a new pc
